Welcome to the pre-release party for the new collaborative Pop Occulture Magazine! This site is meant to take the awesome discussions we’ve been having at my blog and open them up to even greater community participation.

Right now, it’s only a web magazine, but maybe if things go well we will be able to transition into print at some point. But first things first though, we need content! To get started, I am going to personally invited maybe a dozen or so different bloggers to contribute articles here who I think do a lot of quality work in the subject areas related to Pop Occulture. I’m probably also going to go back and re-work some of my old articles to fit the new style and format of this site…

This sort of pre-grand opening session will also help me get some of the kinks worked out in my editing and publishing process. And after that I will open up the invitations to all comers.

I will also be putting together a submissions guidelines page so people have a better idea of what I’m looking for. I have a very specific sort of approach or style in mind for the articles that I will be choosing. But I think within that, there should be a lot of room to play around. The main things I’m looking for are good ideas and good writing. That’s the winning combo that will make this site really fun and interesting for everybody.
